Brian Cotter is Managing Partner of Oak Knoll Capital, and leads the firm’s acquisition sourcing activities. Prior to founding Oak Knoll, Brian was Vice President of Operations for eTelecare Global Solutions, publicly traded BPO firm. In this role Brian managed a ~$60M division with ~1,500 onshore and offshore employees.
Previously, Brian set up and ran several of eTelecare’s support groups as part of the post-merger integration process following eTelecare’s acquisition of another BPO company. Prior to eTelecare, Brian was a consultant with Bain and Company, where he worked across a range of industries, including technology and financial services. Additionally, Brian worked for Bain’s Private Equity Group, advising private equity investors on acquisition candidates in a variety of service industries.
Earlier in his career Brian was a trader at Fidelity Investments, where he was the lead trader for one of Fidelity’s fixed income trading desks. He holds a BS from Bryant College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and an MBA from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, where he was a double major in Entrepreneurship and Strategy. Brian enjoys travelling, basketball, tennis and any outdoor activities.
Vivek Padmanabhan is a Founding Partner of Oak Knoll Capital. Prior to founding Oak Knoll, Vivek was Senior Vice President for Global Shared Services at eTelecare Global Solutions. In this role, he managed the majority of eTelecare’s operational support groups including Recruiting, Training, Quality and Workforce Management. Prior roles at eTelecare included leading the $20M Sales Business Unit and the post-merger integration of a $30M acquired US company.
Vivek has had extensive experience in international business, having operated in North America, Europe and Asia. Most recently, he spent 18 months operating on the ground in the Philippines, during which period eTelecare grew by over 65%. Vivek joined eTelecare by way of McKinsey and Company, where he started in the Munich, Germany office and then moved on to Berlin. He worked across a number of industries including information technology, automotive and private equity.
Vivek holds an International MBA from The University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business with concentrations in strategy, finance and entrepreneurship, an MS in Computational Mechanics from Duke University and a BTech from IIT Madras. He enjoys travel, film, tennis and international experiences.
Jim Franke is a Founding Partner of Oak Knoll Capital. Prior to founding Oak Knoll, Jim was Founder and President of eTelecare Global Solutions, where he grew the company from inception to $180M in revenues in seven years, culminating with an IPO in 2007. Through eTelecare, Jim pioneered Philippines-based call center support for US companies, paving the way for an industry that now has over 250,00 people employed in the Philippines.
Under Jim’s leadership eTelecare developed into one of the most respected and awarded companies in the BPO industry. Previously, Jim was a consultant at McKinsey and Company’s Los Angeles office. Jim holds a BS from Duke University and an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
